Itinerary

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest metropolis. Our guide and driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for checking in. Your room will be ready from 2:00 PM. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your leisure.

Meals are on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

You will be picked up from your hotel to begin the city tour, which includes:

Independence Palace (Reunification Palace), built on the site of the former Norodom Palace.

War Remnants Museum, showcasing extensive exhibits from the Indochina wars.

Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office, beautiful examples of French Colonial architecture.

Jade Emperor Pagoda, known for its peaceful atmosphere and the many stories behind its intricate details.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Depart for a 1.5-hour drive through the pleasant countryside to the Cu Chi Tunnels, a historic site where Vietnamese soldiers took shelter during wartime.

Upon your arrival, you will be presented with a short propaganda film detailing how the Cu Chi Tunnels were instrumental in combat victories against American forces. The journey progresses as the guide unveils various jungle traps designed to incapacitate American troops or incite fear. You’ll have the opportunity to descend into the tunnels, offering a tangible sense of the inhabitants’ wartime living conditions.

Additionally, a shooting range is available for those interested in firing weapons for an additional charge (not included in the tour price). Conclude your visit with a moment of reflection over Cu Chi’s boiled tapioca, pondering the lengths to which humans go to protect their homeland.

Return to your hotel. Dinner is at your own expense. Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast, Lunch

Our guide and driver will collect you from your hotel and embark on a 1.5-hour journey to My Tho, with scheduled stops along the way for refreshments and restroom breaks.

Upon arrival, we’ll board a motorboat and navigate through a vast network of canals and channels, providing picturesque views of the Mekong River, including the renowned Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix islands.

We’ll pause at one of the floating fish houses, where villagers cultivate freshwater fish and shrimp in nets and wire baskets, a significant export of the region.

Crossing the river, we’ll visit a traditional workshop, observing the meticulous process of making coconut candy, honey farming, and indulging in local delicacies while enjoying traditional music.

Experience the local lifestyle firsthand by hand-rowing a sampan along the serene canal. We’ll then transfer to a Xe Loi, a local form of transportation, to explore the surrounding villages.

Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant, featuring a Vietnamese 5-course set menu.

Following lunch, enjoy a brief respite before returning via motorboat to My Tho. We’ll proceed to Vinh Trang Pagoda, an architectural marvel dating back to the 19th century, adorned with numerous Buddha statues, some of which are over a century old.

We’ll then embark on a 1.5-hour journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel. Dinner arrangements will be at your discretion, and you’ll spend the night at the hotel.
