4-DAY FAMILY TRIP TO SOUTHERN VIETNAM

Upon your arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam, our guide and driver will greet you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel for check-in. Your room will be available for your use starting from 02:00 PM onwards.

Enjoy some free time at your leisure to explore the city. Meals will be at your own expense. Spend the night at the hotel.

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel, and together we will explore the following notable landmarks:

• The Reunification Palace: This historic site marks the end of the Vietnam War, symbolized by the crashing of tank number 843 through its gates on April 30th, 1975.
• War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this museum offers a poignant display of the tragic consequences of war, featuring the touching ‘Requiem’ exhibit dedicated to journalists and photographers who lost their lives during the conflict.
• Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built in the late 19th century, these architectural gems showcase classical French colonial design, with every stone shipped from France to Vietnam. The cathedral’s twin towers and the post office’s grand structure contribute to the city’s skyline.
• Jade Emperor Pagoda: Constructed in 1909 to honor the supreme Taoist god, this temple is renowned for its mystical atmosphere and intricate woodcarvings, enveloped in the scent of incense.

After exploring the city for a few hours, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before embarking on a 1.5-hour drive through the picturesque countryside to Cu Chi.

Upon arrival, you’ll watch a brief propaganda video explaining the strategic use of tunnels during the Vietnam War. Your guide will detail the various traps set in the jungle to thwart American soldiers.

You’ll have the opportunity to enter one of the tunnel entrances and experience firsthand the challenging living conditions endured by inhabitants during the war. Optionally, you can visit the shooting range to try firing automatic or semi-automatic weapons for an additional fee.

At the conclusion of the tour, take a moment to reflect while enjoying some Cu Chi boiled tapioca, contemplating the resilience of those who defended their homeland.

We’ll then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel. Dinner will be at your own expense, and you’ll spend the night at the hotel.

Our guide and driver will collect you from your hotel and embark on a 1.5-hour journey to My Tho. En route, we’ll make a brief stop for refreshments and restroom breaks.

Upon arrival, we’ll board a motorboat and cruise through a vast network of canals and channels, offering stunning vistas of the Mekong River, including the renowned Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix islands.

At one of the floating fish houses, we’ll observe villagers cultivating freshwater fish and shrimp, a vital export product of the region. Crossing the river, we’ll visit a traditional workshop to witness the process of making coconut candy and honey farming, while enjoying some samples and traditional music.

Experience the local way of life by hand-rowing a sampan along the tranquil canal, and then transfer to Xe Loi, a local form of transportation, to explore the surrounding villages.

Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant, featuring a Vietnamese 5-course set menu. Please inform us in advance if you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.

After lunch, we’ll board the motorboat back to My Tho and drive to Vinh Trang Pagoda, an ancient architectural marvel dating back to the mid-19th century, adorned with numerous Buddha statues, some of which are over a century old.

We’ll then embark on a 1.5-hour journey back to Ho Chi Minh City, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel. Dinner will be at your leisure, and you’ll spend the night at the hotel.

Today, you have the freedom to relax at your leisure until it’s time for your departure flight. You will be picked up three hours prior to your flight’s departure and transferred to the airport without a guide. This marks the conclusion of the tours.
