Itinerary

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, you will be greeted by our local guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel for check-in. Please note that the room will be available for your use from 14.00 onwards. The rest of the day is free for you to explore and enjoy at your leisure. Meals will be on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

In the morning, we will begin our day with a visit to the outside area of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the revered President Ho Chi Minh rests in peace. We will also explore the traditional stilt house and the unique One-Pillar Pagoda, known for its distinctive structure. From here, we will transfer to the Temple of Literature, a historic site that dates back a thousand years and is renowned as Vietnam’s first university. This is a popular spot for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs upon graduating.

After a short rest, and lunch at your own expense, we will continue our day with a visit to the Vietnamese Ethnology Museum. Here, you can delve deep into the history and culture of various Vietnamese ethnic groups. In the evening, we will enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show, a unique form of Vietnamese performing arts, performed after sunset.

We will then transfer back to the hotel, where dinner will be on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken by shuttle bus to the mesmerizing Halong Bay, a true gem in the north of Vietnam. The scenic drive will take you through picturesque paddy fields and mountains of the Red River Delta, showcasing the natural beauty of the region.

Upon arriving at the harbor, you will board our boat for an unforgettable cruise among the numerous limestone karst formations that rise dramatically from the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit a grotto with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, and anchor for a relaxing swim in a hidden cave. Meals will be served on the cruise, allowing you to savor the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine while surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay. Please note that it is recommended to bring an overnight bag to keep your necessary belongings, as there may not be enough space to store all the luggage of every passenger on board. Rest assured, your remaining luggage will be safely kept at the same hotel in Hanoi, as you will return there after the overnight stay on the cruise.

You have a day at leisure until it’s time to be picked up and transferred, without a guide, to the airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang, our local guide will be there to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

After a short rest, embark on a beautiful walking tour around the ancient port town of Hoi An. Once a national trading center in the 16th century, Hoi An is known for its well-preserved cobblestone streets and historic homes. Take a leisurely stroll through the town, marveling at the centuries-old Chinese houses that showcase a blend of Chinese, Japanese, French, and European architectural influences.

During the tour, you will visit notable landmarks in Hoi An, including the iconic Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Hall, and the local fish market, giving you a glimpse into the town’s rich history and culture.

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will embark on a leisurely cycling tour through the peaceful green rice paddies to reach the local market, Ba Le market. At the market, your tour guide will show you where the ingredients for the cooking class come from, giving you a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of local trading lives. Upon arrival, you will take a break with a refreshing Vietnamese coffee to cool down and relax. Then, you will embark on a fun bamboo basket boat ride through small creeks in the water coconut fields, experiencing a folk game called “bit mat dap noi”.

After the boat ride, it’s time to start the cooking class! The chef and tour guide will instruct and assist you as you learn to cook a variety of local dishes, following the given menu. After lunch, you will take a leisurely boat ride back to Hoi An Ancient Town, allowing you to soak in the scenery and local life of the fishermen along the riverside. The rest of the day is at your leisure, allowing you to explore Ho Chi Minh City at your own pace.

After breakfast, you will leave Ho Chi Minh City by private vehicle to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network that played a significant role during the Vietnam War. The tunnels, covering almost 250 kilometers in length, served as a shelter, communication route, storage facility, hospital, and living quarters for over 16,000 Vietcong guerrillas. You will have the option to descend into the tunnels and learn about the harsh conditions faced by the Vietcong guerrillas who lived there, providing you with a unique insight into Vietnam’s history.

After exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels, you will return to the city center and embark on a tour of the former capital of French Indochina. Finally, you will embark on a sampan and return to the dock, bidding farewell to the Mekong Delta. Your guide will then accompany you back to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will complete your trip. After a free day to explore the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh City on your own, in the evening at 18:15, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Nha Rong port to embark on the BonSai cruise.
