Itinerary

Greetings and welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest and liveliest city in Vietnam. Upon your arrival at the airport, our guide and driver will greet you and take you to the hotel located in the city center for check-in.

The remainder of the day is at your leisure to discover the city on your own. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up for a trip to the serene Mekong Delta, which is a must-see attraction in South Vietnam. On the way, we will make a brief stop at Tan An town to capture some stunning photos of the vast rice fields.

Our first destination is the Cai Be Floating Market, where you will board a motorized boat to explore the region. As you cruise along the captivating waterways, you will be mesmerized by the bustling local scenes of trading boats going back and forth, and the locals exchanging goods on the water.

Next, we will venture to rural villages, orchards, and fruit plantations before following small canals to reach Vinh Long, another charming riverside town. Here, we will visit some family-run businesses producing local products such as Coconut Candy Mill and Crispy Rice Popcorn.

Afterward, we will head to Binh Hoa Phuoc village, a green oasis in Vinh Long where you can enjoy the tranquility of nature. Savor a delightful lunch in a lovely garden while enjoying the traditional Vietnamese folk music. Take some time to unwind with a leisurely walk through the bonsai garden in Vinh Long before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

On the morning of this day, you need to check out of the hotel and leave your luggage at the reception, where it will be kept safely for you.

Around 8:00-8:30 am, our guide will pick you up to embark on a 1.5-hour drive through the scenic countryside, with a possible stop for refreshments, before reaching the Cu Chi Tunnels.

Upon arrival, you will watch a short propaganda video that explains how the tunnels were used to defeat American military forces during the Vietnam War. Your guide will then show you some of the traps that were used in the jungle to maim or disorient American soldiers.

Next, you will have the opportunity to enter one of the tunnel entrances and crawl through the tunnels to get a real sense of how people lived there for extended periods. There is also a shooting range available where you can try your hand at firing automatic or semi-automatic weapons for an additional fee (not included in the tour price).

At the end of the tour, you can relax and savor boiled tapioca while reflecting on the incredible resilience of people defending their home.

We will then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will have some free time to go shopping until 6:45 pm. Our driver and guide will then pick you up and transfer you to the railway station to board the overnight train to Danang.

The train is scheduled to depart from Ho Chi Minh at 7:45 pm and arrive in Danang at 12:30 pm the following day. You will have a soft berth in a shared cabin for the overnight journey.
